I am Alicia López García, a professional with extensive experience in the tourism sector and in the management of cultural projects. Throughout my career, I have developed a solid background in the planning, organization and coordination of tourism and cultural projects.
I have a Diploma in Tourism complemented with postgraduate training in Environmental Management, Quality Management from the University of Extremadura, and from the University of Granada I am an Expert in Cultural Itineraries of the Council of Europe: International/Local Development. My academic training has been key to my specialization in the management and promotion of cultural and sustainable tourism.
Since 2015, I hold the position of Project Manager and Tourism Technician in the Cooperation Network of the Routes of Emperor Charles V, a Cultural Itinerary of the Council of Europe. In this position, I am responsible for the management of European projects, the organization of events and the coordination of the network, contributing to the strengthening and visibility of this initiative at international level.
My professional experience includes various positions in the field of tourism development, among them, Tourism Technician for the Local Action Group of the Comarca de la Vera (Cáceres) ADICOVER, where I managed initiatives for the promotion and revitalization of the tourism sector in the region. Another of my experiences as a tourism technician to highlight is that of being responsible for the Integral System of Spanish Tourism Quality in Destinations SICTED Project in La Vera, being accredited as a trainer, manager and evaluator SICTED by the Secretary of State and Tourism of the Government of Spain.
Between 2011 and 2013, I started my own business project with the company VETURNA, dedicated to the provision of tourism services. This experience allowed me to develop skills in business management and in the creation of tourism products adapted to the needs of the sector.
In the field of teaching, I have given training in various institutions on subjects such as tourist service, creation and management of package tours and events, protocol and service in catering, and management of tourism companies. My training work has contributed to the training of new professionals in the sector.
My profile is characterized by a combination of practical experience, leadership skills and a strategic vision for the promotion and development of cultural and sustainable tourism.
